NeoGenomics is looking for a Quality Specialist Technologist for our Molecular department who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.
This is a hybrid role that covers a work schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 6:00am-2:30pm PT.

Position Summary:
The Quality Specialist Technologist - Molecular is responsible for executing quality initiatives in the laboratory operational disciplines. Assists in the maintenance of a Quality Program utilizing recognized principles of quality assurance and current good laboratory principles (GLP) and as applicable for Clinical Research Organization work (CRO) which NeoGenomics may perform. Reports to Operational management (Supervisor or Manager) but maintains a collaborative/dotted line partnership and close working relationship with Quality Assurance Department personnel and Compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with various regulatory guidelines i.e., CAP, FDA, CLIA, HIPAA, OIG, OSHA, CMS, etc
- Accountable for execution and completion of assigned quality initiatives and tasks. Ensures sustained performance improvement
- Manages operational area specific to quality control and regulatory requirements e.g. continual readiness, standard operating procedures (SOPs), proficiency testing surveys, alternate assessment, correlation studies, calibration verification, competency of testing personnel, etc
- Coordinates quality control activities as assigned. Monitors and ensures adherence to quality control measures
- Analyzes data to detect trends and quality control deviations. Recognizes quality control problems and develops solutions, may monitor and sign off on scheduled quality control review
- Collects data, analyzes processes and organizes data/findings. Summarizes data/findings in a format that will facilitate identification and prioritization of improvement initiatives
- Proactively recognizes and appropriately resolves complex technical problems. Conducts root cause analysis, identifies root cause, assists in development of corrective action plan to prevent recurrence and ensure follow up actions
- Other duties as assigned
- Travel: Minimal (less than 10%)
Requirements:
- Technical laboratory knowledge of assigned operational discipline.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited technology program, with eligibility for certification from a recognized national certifying organization
- Minimum of five years of experience in Molecular-based testing
- Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or similar
- Molecular Biology (MB) certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $84,719.20 - $146,140.62 annually, plus bonus
In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
